We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to join our team who can lead a talented team of engineers while keeping projects focused and moving forward. In this role, you will guide the design and development of drill rigs and coring tools collaborating across departments, mentoring engineers, and helping shape the engineering processes that support innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Together with our Director of Engineering help Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical and electrical engineers across multiple locations.
Contribute to design work including hydraulic applications.
Provide clear direction on engineering priorities while managing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Oversee the design, development, and continuous improvement of exploration drill rigs, coring tools, and related mechanical systems.
Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure safety, reliability, and performance standards are met.
Coordinate engineering resources across multiple projects while managing engineering change processes and design revisions.
Collaborate closely with product line management, manufacturing, operations, procurement, sales, and service teams to ensure designs are practical to build and meet customer needs.
Support troubleshooting of equipment issues in the field and assist with custom equipment requests and customer-driven modifications.
Improve engineering workflows, documentation standards, and design processes to increase efficiency, communication, and design quality.
Support the implementation of new technologies, tools, and best practices while ensuring adherence to engineering standards and codes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Technology
Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation/Professional Technologist or ability to obtain is an asset
8+ years of engineering experience
3+ years in a leadership or senior Engineering/Technical role
