Procurement Expeditor

Sunny Corner Exploration Inc. (SCX), part of the M4 group of companies, specializes in the manufacturing of exploration drill rigs, diamond drill rods, and reverse circulation tools.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Expeditor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring purchase orders from placement through delivery, ensuring suppliers meet agreed timelines, and resolving issues that could impact project schedules or operational requirements.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities effectively, and are committed to ensuring materials and equipment are delivered on time to support operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and expedite purchase orders from placement through delivery to ensure materials, equipment, and services arrive on schedule.

  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers to confirm order status, production schedules, and delivery commitments.

  • Identify potential delays or supply issues and work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve them in a timely manner.

  • Provide accurate updates on order status, delivery timelines, and potential risks to the appropriate teams.

  • Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, Project Management, and other internal departments to support project and operational requirements.

  • Ensure purchasing and expediting records are accurate and up to date within our procurement system.

  • Review supplier documentation and shipping information to support timely and accurate deliveries.

  • Support continuous improvement by monitoring supplier performance and recommending process improvements where appropriate.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams.

  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, expediting, logistics, or supply chain; experience in a manufacturing or project-based environment is considered an asset.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
