Key Responsibilities:
Use SolidWorks modeling software to assist with new product design and development.
Develop and prepare drawings based on issued-for-construction drawings, preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specifications, and other relevant technical data.
Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks.
Produce complete drawing and document packages for production.
Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications and applicable data.
Provide timely technical support to the shop floor and address issues that arise during the fabrication process.
Assist with prototyping and daily drawing requirements.
Follow document control process.
Qualifications:
Two-year diploma in an Engineering Technology program or equivalent technical education.
Minimum 5 years work experience is an asset.
Strong SolidWorks skills, including both 2D and 3D drafting.
Knowledge of other CAD drawing software would be considered an asset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and attention to detail.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Creative and innovative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to understand the overall project requirements.
Mechanically minded with hands-on approach.
