HSE Administrator

Purpose:
We are seeking a motivated HSE Administrator to support our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs while taking on select Field Safety Advisor responsibilities. This role combines administrative duties with hands-on field safety tasks to ensure compliance with Canadian regulations and promote a strong safety culture across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
Develop, update, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and documentation in line with Canadian regulations (e.g., Canada Labour Code, provincial OHS regulations, WHMIS).
Maintain accurate records, including safety data sheets (SDS), training logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports to bodies such as WorkSafeNB or other provincial authorities as required.
Coordinate HSE training programs, including scheduling and tracking employee participation in safety certifications.
Support safety committee meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes.
Monitor and track HSE metrics, generating reports for management review.
Field Safety Advisor Responsibilities:
Conduct field-based risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHAs) at work sites to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Perform regular site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance with OHS standards and company policies.
Provide on-site safety guidance during high-risk activities, ensuring proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices.
Assist in incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to field crews and contractors.
Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging with employees and management across all levels.
Stay current on Canadian HSE legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a safety role or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in or certificate in Health and Safety or related discipline.
Valid New Brunswick Driver's License, willingness to travel
Excellent communication, training, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail and sense of urgency
Proficiency in safety management software or reporting tools.
Solid understanding of safety procedures and compliance requirements
